These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Swayam Connect website located at connect.swayamoverseas.com (the “Website”) and the services offered thereon (the “Services”). The Services connect students seeking guidance on abroad culture, job opportunities, and careers with qualified mentors (collectively, “Users”).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, then you may not access or use the Website.
2. User Accounts
2.1 Student Accounts:
- To access certain features of the Website, you may be required to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your login credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You agree to notify Swayam Connect immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.
2.2 Mentor Accounts:
- To be considered a Mentor, you will need to create an account and provide information such as your YouTube channel, Instagram handle, LinkedIn profile, and college name. This information will be displayed on your Mentor profile on the Website.
- You represent and warrant that you are qualified to provide mentorship services and that all information you provide about yourself is accurate and up-to-date.
3. Services
Swayam Connect provides a platform for Students to connect with Mentors for one-on-one paid mentorship sessions. The specific content and format of these sessions are determined by the individual Mentor and Student.
4. Fees and Payment
4.1 Mentor Fees:
- Mentors set their own fees for their mentorship sessions.
- The specific fees will be displayed to Students before booking a session.
4.2 Payment Processing:
- Swayam Connect uses Amelia for appointment booking and Razorpay for domestic payments and Paypal for international payments.
- You agree to the terms and conditions of these third-party services.
- Swayam Connect is not responsible for any errors or issues related to payment processing.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
5.1 Student Cancellations:
- Students may cancel a scheduled mentorship session with a minimum of 3 days’ notice to be eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations with less notice may be subject to a cancellation fee as determined by the Mentor.
5.2 Mentor Cancellations:
- Mentors may cancel a scheduled mentorship session with a minimum of 1 day of notice.
- In the event of a Mentor cancellation, Students will receive a full refund.
6. User Content
6.1 Student Content:
- Students may be asked to provide information about their goals and expectations for mentorship sessions.
- You retain all ownership rights to your content, but you grant Swayam Connect a non-exclusive license to use your content for the purpose of providing the Services.
6.2 Mentor Content:
- Mentors are responsible for the content they provide during mentorship sessions and on their profiles.
- You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights and permissions to share such content.
7. Disclaimer
Swayam Connect does not provide any professional advice or services. The information provided by Mentors is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as professional advice. Students are encouraged to conduct their own research and due diligence before making any decisions based on the information received during mentorship sessions.
8. Limitation of Liability
Swayam Connect is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Website or the Services, including but not limited to, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Termination
Swayam Connect may terminate your access to the Website and Services for any reason, at any time, without notice.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
11. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Swayam Connect regarding your use of the Website and the Services.
12. Changes to the Terms
Swayam Connect may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on the Website. Your continued use of the Website after the posting of any revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
